I set out to create an image that captured a bit of how I felt at the moment, sadness but not enough sadness to really stop smiling, but enough to feel tears.

Done in a different style with a more textured approach (a scattered brush as the primary blender) and less tightened defined edges.

The hair is a little unfinished-looking, as I wanted to draw more attention to the face, as is the blurrier nature of the background. I wanted to focus on the face.
